KOLANDA EARTH curates artwork using satellite imagery as an artistic medium. The process involves manipulating the bands of light reflectance to create abstract, artistic representations of the Earth’s natural features. This piece is derived from satellite imagery captured over Jostedalsbreen National Park area of Norway. The dreamy color scheme depicts the snow packed mountains as grey and forested mountain valleys in cream color. This is the result of reversing the tonemapped true color treatment.
THE PRODUCT MATERIAL:
The purchased art comes printed on matte paper with an uncoated finished along with a wooden frame which you can assemble easily. Once assembled, the artwork is protected within the frame by shatterproof plexiglass. You may hang the artwork using either the horizontal or vertical hanging hardware that comes already attached to the frame (note: The default orientation of your print when ordered will have true north upwards like your average map. If you choose to hang the artwork differently, the top will no longer point north). The frame thickness is 0.79".
